Skills-independent and CNC-quality weld profiling for uniform and superior fatigue strength improvement
The MAX TM401 is a mobile 6-axis CNC robot featuring custom PLC software, precision hydraulics and motion control for automatic XYZ-positioning of the machining tool to ±0.2 mm:
- Laser-guided tracking and laser-controlled machining to flush (large-radius) or below weld toe level
- Repeatable-quality removal of both weld face and weld toe undercuts in a single pass operation
- Algorithm controlled profiling of different weld geometries, including offsets and thickness transitions
- Up to 1,200 mm/min. weld profiling with a <3.2 μm Ra surface finish
- 75 dB and dust-free operation with cyclone-action vacuum evacuation of shavings to dedicated container
